July 30th, 2016 - Runner-up Finish for Ames at Winchester Speedway
Making his first start of the season with the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Series, Dylan Ames visited Boyd's Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) on Tuesday night. Competing in a stacked field of 35 cars, Ames would need a 4th place finish or better in his heat to make the $3,500-to-win A-Main. Edging his way into the show with a 4th place finish, Dylan was an early exit from the 35-lap feature.

Returning with the Southern National Series on Friday, Dylan was one of 24 Super Late Models signed in at Crossville Raceway (Crossville, Tennessee) for the $3,500-to-win A-Main. Transferring the top five out of the heats and into the feature, Ames fell back to a 7th place outing bringing an early end to his night.

Closing out the weekend, Ames stopped at Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Tennessee) for the unsanctioned program. Battling in a field of 17 in the featuer, Ames brought home a runner-up finish behind David Seibers with David Brannon, Scott Cook, and Jerry Ashley rounding out the Top 5.

July 16th, 2016 - Ames Places 8th in Governor's Cup at Magnolia
Competing with the Southern All Star Series, Dylan Ames headed to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Saturday night for the 13th Annual Governor’s Cup. Sending the top ten qualifiers into the A-Main, Ames posted the 10th fastest time earning him a high-side fifth row starting spot for the feature. With $5,000 on the line, Dylan improved two positions in the 50-lapper posting a 8th place outing.

July 3rd, 2016 - Dylan Ames Lands Top Five Finish at Duck River
Returning to action after taking last weekend off, Dylan Ames traveled to Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Tennessee) on Saturday for the regular night of racing. In a field of eight cars in the A-Main, Ames landed a podium finish. After making the wrong tire choice, Ames posted a runner-up finish behind Jay Scott, with Jadon Frame, David Seibers, and Shannon Davis trailing them across the finish line.

The next night brought Ames to Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tennessee) for the 4th of July special. Battling for a $3,000 in the feature event, Dylan improved one spot from his 6th place starting spot posting a 5th place outing.
